(DROP DEAD) BEAUTIFUL
VAWK Fall 2011
While we’re used to seeing more embellishment from Sunny Fong and his label VAWK, for Fall 2011 the Project Runway Canada winner presented a gorgeously pared down collection of cashmere jackets (seriously, how did he blend the knit shoulder so seamlessly into the sleeve of that cashmere coat?), burgundy capes with chevron fur trim, a stunning black mongolian fur jacket and a prim, but not proper, black leather dress shirt and skinny tie. Returning to the LG Fashion Week runway, after showing at the in the Frank Gehry-revamped AGO for a few seasons, we’re betting the moves Fong and his team are making (such as showcasing his impeccable tailoring and presenting to, hopefully, a greater audience at the official venue), will pay off exquisitely.
