Ashtiani named TFI New Labels Winner
Narrowing the field to just three this year, the TFI New Labels runway show took place last Thursday to a packed house of fashion media, family and friends of the designers and the Toronto Fashion Incubator. Each label, Caitlin Power, Ashtiani and Narces, presented wearable and clean 12 piece collections, including olive leather shorts and dresses from Power, beige and blush pink ruched shouldered dress and jackets at Ashtiani and sequins galore at Narces. In the end, Ashtiani, FRM’s fave of the night, took home the $40,000 prize, which included $10,000 cash, a spread in an upcoming issue of Flare and a chance to design a dress for mega retailer Sears.
