SHAN Fall 2011
Day two of fashion week took a tropic turn as SHAN swimwear made their way to the runway following a short clip of the iconic 1953 film “From Here to Eternity,” adding to the show’s vintage atmosphere. The suits were both nautical and feminine, brightened with polka dots, stripes and visible ruching. SHAN included great accessories such as wide-brimmed beach hats and boldly printed wraps, and ended the show with evening-style cover ups. Models were showing more skin than suit and they added personality to the presentation, giving winks and teasing smiles to photographers in the pit. With a modern take on the ’50s, SHAN included a neon pink and bold blue suit with classic ruffling. Sure to warm those (still!) winter blues, SHAN brought a touch of summer to the Fall 2011 collections.
