Queen Latifah brings down the house at the P&G Beauty & Grooming Awards
On a chilly night in Toronto, beauty and fashion insiders descended upon the red carpet at one of Toronto’s swankiest venues, The Carlu, for the P&G Beauty & Grooming Awards. In its second year, the awards, which recognize editorial and creative talent in Canada, was hosted by singer and Oscar-nominated actress Queen Latifah, who cracked jokes in between the award presentations. The ceremony, which also boasted guest presenters Stacey MacKenzie and Jeanne Beker, recognized winners in 13 categories in both English and French, and included categories such as Best Beauty or Fashion Website, Photographer of the Year and Best Magazine Cover. Some notable winners included Nathalie Atkinson for Best Fashion Feature for “Picture Perfect Manipulation,” from the National Post, which addressed photoshopping in the fashion industry, and Greg Wencel took home Make-up Artist of the Year.
