Geox taps Patrick Cox to design a capsule collection for the Italian brand

It was recently announced that British-based, Canadian-born footwear designer Patrick Cox would be working with Italian label Geox for their first-ever collaboration collection. Cox, who is best known for his Wannabe label and has partnered with the likes of Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano, offers his impeccable detailing for the collection of men’s and women’s shoes, featuring a fabulous Oxford-style shoe with an athletic sole for added support. For the comfort shoe brand, the designer also played with the docksider-style shoe by adding details such as tassels and colour blocking. One of the pairs, a flashy gold Oxford, was designed for Elton John to wear in his new show, The Million Dollar Piano, which just opened at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. “I wanted to create pieces that are casual in spirit and reflect London’s cool, urban vibe building on GEOX’s exceptional and innovative shoemaking technology,” said Cox.

Available beginning in January, the collection combines the feel of sportswear and the look of city chic.
