OUR FAVOURITE THINGS
We were always envious of a certain art director’s gold hued eye shadow. The tone instantly made her baby blues that much more noticeable, so we went as far as to test drive the exact same shadow, but to less than stellar results (more than likely because of a slight variation in skin tone, she of a lovely darker olive complexion). But alas, our prayers were answered when Clinique’s new Surge Eye Shadow Palette in Brandied Bronze landed at our door. The limited edition gold and brown shadows made for a perfect summer smokey look, and the compliments on our bright hazel eyes served to prove there is a (makeup) god. Are we the only ones who get a case of the greasies most days during the hot summer months? We’re not complaining, really. Bring on the humidity! But this year we’ll be prepared with Olay Renergist Micro-Exfoliating Wet Cleansing Cloths, $15. The wipes, which help to remove dirt and even waterproof mascara, all while exfoliating, can easily be packed into any beach bag or cottage tote, and make for a great afternoon or early evening refresher if you’re doing the right thing and loading on that SPF while out in the sun all day.
We’ve been slathering on sunscreen on our face everyday since we were 16. And as we all know a good sunscreen is every girl’s best weapon against the signs of aging. We recommend the Dermalogica Super Sensitive Faceblock SPF 30. The formula is chemical free, and contains green tea and lavender to help stop skin irritation.
