A new online shop promises fashions for the bad girl on a budget
A young trio of hot young things in Toronto—Trish Padlan, Jessica Sack-Tina and Andrea Ciurria—are betting on their keen eye for fashion forward looks at easy breezy prices by launching the latest web sensation, based here in Toronto. Called Nowhereland, the funky and fun pieces start at $35 and, as the team tells us, are “bright, obnoxious, tacky, tight and shiny. So naturally, we source our clothing from Asia and LA.”
Coming from varying backgrounds (Padlan is a Ryerson Fashion Communications alum, while Sack-Tina studied media and cultural studies at the University of East London, and Ciurria majored in Cultural Studies and did a minor in Film at McMaster University) the girls officially launched on July 11th, after a few quick months preparing their grand idea. “We’d like to be the go-to style destination for rad Canadian girls that want something not everyone else has, but don’t want to break the bank,” Padlan tells us. “I guess in short, Nowhereland is for bad girls with good hearts who happen to be on a budget!” Judging from their recent wares, we think they have their bases covered.
