Our Favorite Trends from New York Fashion Week
There are still several more weeks of shows to come in Europe, but with Mercedes Benz Fashion Week wrapping up this past week in NYC, here are some of the top trends we noticed on the Lincoln Center runways.
1. Mellow Yellow: Bold without being obnoxious, the universally flattering mustard yellow makes a comeback.
2. Park and Go: Fur-trimmed and worn with silk gowns, the utilitarian parka takes a designer twist.
3. Blue’s Clues: This rich, oversaturated Yves Klein blue has long been a fashion crowd favorite. In minimalist shapes and paired with basic black accessories, it is at once classic and modern.
4. Grey Gardens: Whether worn with a cashmere tank top or tailored blazer, our favorite silhouette come Autumn includes a pair of wide-legged wool trousers.
5. All In The Family: For Fall, designers take Monochromatic dressing to a new level. Lady-like looks come with matching shoes, bags and even outerwear.
