GET THE LOOK
Heather Marks in the NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil film
Ever since the Nars Velvet Gloss Lip Pencils landed on our desk, we couldn’t get enough of the silky matte finish and moisturizing Vitamin E of jumbo-crayon-like scribblers. Available in six shades, our favourite is “Happy Days,” vibrant pink coral with a hint of gold shimmer that is on-trend for spring.
To add to the excitement of the launch of the new product, Nars commissioned noted fashion filmmaker Ruth Hogben, who had previously worked with Alexander McQueen, Céline, Givenchy and Gareth Pugh, to direct Canadian stunner Heather Marks in the 60 second spot.
With Marks’ natural beauty and sex appeal oozing through our computers, we wanted to get the same look ourselves, created for the film by makeup artist Diane Kendal.
Starting with the face:
-Apply Pro-Prime Pore Refining Primer with fingertips to visible pores, fine lines, and around the edge of lips.
-Follow with a light application of Fiji Sheer Glow Foundation
-Contour cheekbones with Laguna Bronzing Powder
-Blend Desire Blush over the apples of the cheeks
-Apply Copacabana Illuminator to the cheekbones
For the eyes:
-Sweep the gold infused platinum with silver flecks side of Calanque Trio Eyeshadow over eyelids
-Brighten eyes with Hollywoodland Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in the inner corner of eyes
-Line lashline with Nuits Blanches Eyeliner Stylo
-Top off with a coat of Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara
Finish off lips with your favourite shade of the Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil and paint your nails with Versailles Nail Polish.
