Showing in the uniquely intimate Studio space, Montreal jewellery designer Micalla presented MICALLA in the RAW, kicking off day three of LG Fashion Week. Danish-born designer Camilla Jørgensen says the line was inspired by her Scandinavian roots accounting for the use of rugged and edgy gems. The collection also incorporated sensible shapes and glamourous pieces that blur the line between clothing and accessory. Materials were sourced from strictly artisanal mines from across the world and pieces retail from CDN$250.00 and up. The show combined elegant, classic looks with clusters of freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and gemstones giving that little black dress some va-va-voom. A must have was the final look featuring a sweetheart neckline and shawl of crystals draped over the shoulders.
