LOVAS SPRING 2011
With his focus on tailored daywear and now his rapidly expanding popular cocktail looks, this season at Lovas Wesley Badanjak used the periodic table of elements as his main inspiration in terms of pairing colours. Throwing bright pinks and pops of lime yellow into a collection of blacks, greys and whites, Badanjak’s upbeat showing played directly into his customer’s hands. His concentrated attention to detail came this season in the tiered gowns and cocktail numbers, a side zippered strategically ruched black one shoulder chiffon dress, as well as the many man hours of hand sewn leather sequins and, an easy front running fave of ours, the oil slick looking closing frocks, consisting of a ridiculous amount of white, grey and black sequins.
