LANA DUGMAG SPRING 2011
Lana Dugmag opened the last day of LG Fashion Week Friday with her Spring 2011 collection, playing up a doll-like look with shades of pink and Swarovski crystal detailing. Her take on the traditional cocktail dress emphasized tight ruffling, giving the look of a delicious whipped dessert. White lace, fingerless gloves and chunky-heeled Oxfords were eye-catching accents on next to the designs, and frilly lace-trimmed socks accentuated the porcelain visage.
Dugmag featured over 25 different designs for her ready-to-wear line and her finale dress seemed a slight homage to Gone With The Wind, featuring a mini tulle, cream skirt and lace parasol. Many of the garments were based with a sweetheart-neckline, strapless dresses with strong, texturized fabrics, angled for a polished silhouette.
