This summer accessories are all about making a statement by adding a bold element to your sartorial arsenal. Our latest favourite accessory trend, knuckle rings, can add edge to any outfit, whether your dressing down or dressing up.
Spotted recently on Beyonce in the video for “Run the World (Girls),” knuckle dusters also made an appearance at Arthur Mendonca’s Fall 2011 show, in a collaboration with jeweler Dean Davidson.
For the timid fashion follower, simply pair one stand-out piece with a minimal outfit or if you’re daring and feeling edgy, layer your rings and pile on bracelets of different shapes and colors. Just be careful when traveling, we had one fashionable friend recently surrender her favourite knuckle ring to airport security, as it was seen as a threat. To what, we’re not so sure.
