SPORTING TEXTURE
Joeffer Caoc Spring 2012
Philippine-born Joeffer Caoc showcased his made-in-Canada Spring 2012 collection mixing casual athletic wear with feminine detailing, providing a wearable (and undoubtedly comfortable) collection. Caoc played with mixed texture, including the satin tank with leather surf brief and tweed topper. Many of the dresses featured a sporty racerback with an underlying mesh layer and on-trend colour blocking. One of our favourite looks was the silk track pants featuring a solid vertical stripe down each side, a signature of his collection. Brights were included in the line as well as some neutrals such as black and beige and monochromatic prints. The evening looks included a sequin tulle and shimmer dress and a mesh tank sequin dress, loosely fit with lots of leg. Edgy yet easy!
