JOEFFER CAOC AND NADA SPRING 2011
Presenting their collections, in a joint venture with menswear label Dmitrichris, it was a return to the runway for style star’s Nada Shepherd and Joeffer Coac, who both sent out their Spring 2011 wares to a fashionable but chilly crowd at new venue the Brickworks, along the Don Valley Parkway last Thursday. For Caoc it was a bit of a departure, with silk leopard print dresses with shots of lime green and pink throughout to open, his signature pink was present, as well as a black and white pixelated jacket and short set, a floor length blue and white striped dress and white jersey gowns to close the show.
After her kick ass fashion video from Fall 2010, Nada took a more easy approach to Spring with sending Tara Gill out in a graphic cut off jumper, and having her close in a pleated shouldered, draped floor length navy gown, as well as showing a baby blue ribbed floor length dress with sheer cutouts and mixing blues and blacks in office appropriate dressing. Perhaps our favourite look was the Haider Ackerman-esque floor length black skirt, with leather waist, that Nada paired with a cropped sequin and sheer top.
