Les Arts Decoratifs features Hussein Chalayan’s looks from the ’90s to the new millennium
Beginning July 5th fashion enthusiasts will be able to capture a glimpse into the mind of British/Turkish designer Hussein Chalayan at Paris’ Les Arts Decoratifs. Known for his avant-garde aesthetic, the Central Saint Martins graduate has been recognized as a leader in the industry with various awards, including British Designer of the Year (1999 and 2000). The exhibition will be presented on two floors—the first will explore the foundation of his thoughts, integrating the political, cultural, and geographical barriers felt by the designer, and the the second will place more of an emphasis on the ideas of movement.
