Georgia Hardinge Fall 2011
Since being dubbed by Vauxhall Fashion Scout as “one-to-watch,” Merit Award winner Georgia Hardinge has grown considerably in terms of her career, recently putting on her first runway show. Inspired by photographer Joel Peter Witkin for her Fall 2011 collection, Hardinge weaved the concepts of death and destruction into her structured style and streamlined silhouettes. These notions of the macabre, were further balanced and complemented not only by technique, such as with the many delicate folds, but also by the fairly neutral palette comprising of black, gray, ivory, and blush tones.
