OUR FAVORITE THINGS
We all know SPF is the key to looking way less than your age, but, until recently, we were always competing with the added grease factor of most facial sunscreens. Enter J.R. Watkins Natural Apothecary Divine Day Cream (64g/$18, jrwatkins.com). We’ve found that putting the day cream, which is made of 100 percent natural ingredients, on under our regular SPF has helped control the daily oil slick that can be our T-Zone.
While we’ve been an avid user of that aforementioned SPF since the tender age of 16 (we’ve been dreading wrinkles for over a decade!) we hate to admit, the sun has managed to do some damage. Most noticeably for us, little brown sunspots on the ledge of our top lip. If you’re like use, head to any Clinique counter this August for the remedy. The new Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle & UV Damage Corrector (30ml/$53.50, Clinique.ca), a de-aging serum that contains whey protein, vitamins C and E, retinyl palmitate (vitamin A) and more to help repair and defend against UV damage (we’ve noticed some pretty amazing results in just one week!).
Not naturally a morning person? We’re in the same boat. Get a jump-start on your day with Kiss My Face’s Cardamon Mint Bath and Shower Gel (473ml/$11, kissmyface.com), a refreshing and moisturizing sudser. Think organic and Paraben free. Even better!
Everyone we know, with curly hair or straight, has been raving about Morrocanoil. New to our arsenal of hair care products, we can’t get enough of the Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner (price at salons discretion, moroccanoil.com), not only because of the scent, but because it leaves our coloured hair feeling soft and healthy without any grease.
