Dove Spa takes us away without leaving uptown
When entering the Dove Spa, it’s easy to see that the serene space is an extension of the same brand whose super moisturizing soap is a beauty classic. The walls are decorated with quotes on beauty from icons such as Sophia Loren and Miss Piggy, and to maintain a positive attitude towards body image even their advertisements don’t use professional models, but clients from the spa instead.
The Deluxe Manicure and Pedicure ($100) were perhaps one of the best we’ve experienced—our mani is currently going on over five days strong without a nick or chip. Upping the ante, go for the deluxe versions, as they come with a hand and foot massage and super hydrating mask.
The facial treatments are also not to be missed ($75 for 45mins, $90 for 60mins and $110 for 75mins). Beginning with a skin diagnostic, various areas of the skin are measured for oil, water, elasticity and pigmentation so that your facial can truly be customized. Cleansing, exfoliation, extractions and many hot towels work to deep clean and hydrate your skin, while a print out of your skin diagnostic is provided, along with a print out of recommended spa products.
With four locations across the greater Toronto area, you won’t need to travel too far for a sanctuary close to home.
