DREAMING OF DENIS
Local design darling Denis Gagnon has Montrealers daydreaming about sunnier days with his future-fantastic Spring 2010 collection. This time around the fashion fave zeroed in on zippers, which he piled high as collars, wound en masse around waists and laced up and down his twisted leather and draped silk and jersey styles. In a cool palette of black, white, grey and mint green, the architectural, avant-garde designs whipped die-hard Denis fans into such a frenzy that the designer staged an unprecedented second runway way show during fashion week this past fall. Seems his haute hardware is going to make for one scorching spring.
