Only Montreal’s Denis Gagnon could close out LG Fashion Week in such chic fashion. Inspired by les garçonnes, Gagnon’s light and whimsical ode to the French will be one collection to clamour for come spring. Full floral ensembles on white and black, leather straps, must-have clutches and backpacks, and smiling models with bright red lips took over the final show to such aplomb, audience members couldn’t help but smile. Walking Gagnon’s bride down the aisle was another female model dress in a tux-inspired look complete with a white leather bib, and as the two girls kissed at the end of the runway, Gagnon and his gaggle of well-dressed, Jil Sander-esque ladies came from backstage to take over the catwalk for the last time that week.
