SUN-KISSED SUMMER WITH CHANEL

When the sun is shining, everyone wants to punch up their look with a little colour. Nature itself gives us new colour cues with clear azure skies, coral sand beaches and pink flowers blooming all around us, so it is no coincidence that Chanel was inspired by these bright and bold summer scenes for their 2010 summer
makeup collection.

Paint the tips of your nails in one of three vivid new shades from the Le Vernis line, also made to complement a bronzed complexion. The bright Riviera and the softer Mistral offers two distinct shades of pink for fingers or toes, but our favourite colour is Nouvelle Vague, an eye catching turquoise that has yet to escape a compliment when worn. ($27 each)

For lips, Gloss Fluo ($33) comes in two electric shades: Laser, a hot neon pink and Pop, a fluorescent coral. Both glosses leave a sheer, shiny hit of colour that takes on a neon effect under ultraviolet light. If you’re into a more subtle lip, try Levres Scintillanes lipgloss in Bikini Peach ($33), a gold-speckled pink or Rouge Allure lipstick in Darling ($38), a rosy peach.

Give your cheeks a kiss of sun without the UV damage with Soleil Tan De Chanel in Terre D’Or ($57). The ultra-fine bronzing powder is flecked with gold to reflect light and complement naturally tanned skin.

All shades are limited edition and available May 17th at Chanel beauty counters. chanel.ca
