OUR FAVOURITE THINGS

Get glowing this summer with the best bronzers and self-tanners

Summer is finally here and most of us want to look like a bronzed beauty, but there’s nothing chic about sunburns, skin damage and premature aging. To get prepped, start out by sloughing off dead skin cells with an exfoliator such as 1. Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub ($8.95, 100g; $15.95, 250g; $24.95, 500g, lush.ca) or 2. J.R. Watkins Naturals Coconut Sugar and Shea Body Scrub ($15.99, jrwatkins.com) for smooth and touchable skin.

Rather than reaching for a cream, we prefer spray self-tanners for getting hard to reach spots like your back. Try 3. Rodial Tan Airbrush ($49, 200ml, available at The Bay and Murale), Read More…

UP IN THE AIR

Toronto’s Elmwood Spa launches its new oxygen treatments

While the ’90s fad of oxygen bars is thankfully long gone, much like other trends of that decade, the benefits of that vital element are making a comeback. The Elmwood Spa recently introduced its latest treatments, with a goal of utilizing the detoxifying and pick-me-up properties of oxygen. Get a glowing face with the O2 facial ($130, 50 minutes) as an oxygen wand aids the in inhaling its benefits, or try the head-to-toe O2 massage ($130, 50 minutes). For any world traveler, getting over jet lag, we like the O2 Quickie ($65, 20 minutes), a hand, arm, leg and foot massage with oxygen inhalation for a boost of energy.
