CANADIANS AT LONDON FASHION WEEK
A stylist joked earlier this week that there were more Canadians in London during LFW than Brits. It may sound crazy but some of the most buzzed about designers showing at LFW are Canadian and that, paired with the flock of writers, buyers, and stylists attending the shows, meant that there was nary a day that went by without some type of reunion. Established designers Mark Fast, Erdem Moralioglu, Todd Lynn, and Jean-Pierre Braganza were joined this year by Thomas Tait, the 21-year-old wunderkind that had everyone buzzing with his off schedule presentation. In a season filled with forced eccentricity, the Canadians brought everything from sexy fringed minis, at Fast, to floral garden party frocks at Erdem to their packed shows. Thankfully, the seventies notes were few and far between in this crowd making each collection a standout amongst the masses showing floaty flares and tunics.
