Pumping up the crowds with some dance beats, Basch by Brandon Dwyer hit the catwalk on day four of fashion week with a neon green backdrop, thst pre-empted the show with voices speaking the slogan “Basch, bitches” a la Britney Spears. Models were unusually animated for the show, encouraging an audience participation not usually seen at fashion week, that, after the last exit, lead to a standing ovation for designer Brandon Dwyer. Runway favourite Renee Thompson opened the collection in a transparent black lingerie number, with pops lime undergarments. The crowd began cheering as she strutted and sang her way to the eagerly awaiting photo pit at the end of the long catwalk. Dwyer, who focused his collection on sheers and risque cuts made for those who dare to bare, paired almost every outfit with a splash of bright green. Ending the show with a smattering of floor-length frocks, the silk material the designer favoured reflected the beaming lights of the runway and gave a multi-dimensional look to the flowy looks.
