Kimono-like trenches, colourful separates and checkerboard patterned dresses dominated the runway in a colour palette appropriate for the show’s theme, proving that Kao’s evolution as a must-watch designer is still moving in the right direction.

BOHEMIAN TREKKER

Jeremy Laing Spring 2012

Inspired by the idea of erosion and the beauty of decay, Canadian designer Jeremy Laing presented an earthy palette and nomadic styling with his latest collection. In addition to a variety of designs, asymmetrical motifs and subtle patterns added a certain, but necessary, flare to the collection. While his signature voluminous silhouettes may be daunting to those unfamiliar with the designer, Laing presented several pieces that even the most timid of consumers would consider, including the one-shoulder draped jersey dress in grey.
