SOLO OR STACKED?

Sisco Berluti offers casual chic with beaded bracelets

What first began as a personalized gift to family members quickly became a fast-growing business for sisters Lisa Sisco and Carolyn Berluti. Worn solo or stacked, Sisco Berluti has easily garnered a following, with features in Glamour, InStyle, Teen Vogue, and more. In addition to their versatility, the affordable price point (from $40 to 88 on average for single bracelets) and variety of beads and colours the arm candy consists of are what make the brand so attractive and why we love them so.

Sisco Berluti is available for purchase online.

DESIGNERS ON THE RISE

Toronto-based label Lark & Hazel’s dreamy sophomore collection

With a modern meets nostalgic aesthetic, Lark & Hazel is the creation of Canadians Sarah Kelpin and Nazmul Bhuiyan. Exploring the feminine silhouette in their inaugural collection with ruffles, gathers, and a rich colour palette for Fall 2011, the line finds a seasonal complement in their Spring 2012 collection. Where some brands find difficulty in asserting their voice in sophomore collections, Lark & Hazel has no such problem; their latest wares echo the feminine stylings they started with, showcasing a lighter colour palette, girly lace and retrofit dresses. And having closed 2011 with features in both Papercut Magazine and LOULOU Magazine, the line is one to watch in 2012. The brand is currently available for sale online at LarkandHazel.com.

DESIGNER ABCs…

The Museum at FIT presents its A-Z highlights

With over 50,000 garments in the permanent collection, the Museum at FIT looked to its more contemporary and modern holdings for its latest exhibition. The “Fashion, A-Z Higlights From the Collection of the Museum at FIT” veers away from the traditional chronological ordering, and opts for a different approach–alphabetical categorization of the fifty designers selected. This exhibit is the first in a two-part series and runs from now until May 8, 2012.
