Attitude Jay Manuel Spring 2012
For Jay Manuel’s sophomore collection for Sears, the Top Model star brought the drama with a slick Plexiglass runway and smoke machine that almost choked members of the front row—the combination of which may have contributed to model Yasmin Warsame’s painful-looking tumble. Despite minor setbacks, the Attitude Jay Manuel show was a well-styled show, thanks to the über-talented George Antonopolous, showcasing the fast fashion label’s many on-trend pieces, from jumpers, to loose beach attire, to flowy dresses and sporty spring looks. Though the label took considerable risks, including the amount of bare bottoms and breasts we saw, which pieces end up on the actual sales floor remain to be seen.
