Arthur Mendonça Spring 2012
Long time fans of Arthur Mendonça, and there are many, were not disappointed when he sent his stable of top Canadian models down the runway (Tara Gill, Amanda Laine and Naro among them), alongside a much talked about walk by androgynous Australian model Andrej Pejic, fresh off wearing a strict blazer, pencil skirt and heels to meet the Queen of England last week. Chalk full of dresses, strict and flowy, Mendonça’s Spring 2012 collection consisted of whites, creams, bright yellows and turquoise amongst florals prints in pink and purple, as well as browns and copper red, and saw Pejic sauntering down the runway in a brown silk suit, gold brogues, a bright turquoise blouse and smoke-show smoulder. Narrowing down which dress to save for will be quite the task. Perhaps the bright yellow wrap dress worn by Gill or the flowy brown frock, with gorgeous cover buttons all the way up the front.
