Anu Raina Fall 2011
A debut designer for LG Fashion Week, Anu Raina presented her Fall 2011 collection, which she dubbed an autobiographical art work. Tracing her roots from Kashmir, India to her current home in Canada, Raina used dyes and prints on sheer with messages and flashes of her name throughout the line. Transparent, frayed edges highlighted a number of outfits in this sexy yet comfortable-looking line. Using cotton-style greys to give that sweatsuit look to a wide-leg pant or using a jagged hand-stitching, Raina appealed to women looking for an easy-to-wear and equally unique collection. The line made use of sheers to maintain a feminine form and emphasize the well-placed wording.
