The latest anti-aging line from Kiehl’s
When it comes to reversing and slowing down the signs of aging, Kiehl’s has our back, or rather, face. The latest product from Kiehl’s, called the Double Strength Deep Wrinkle Filler ($57), helps to instantly smooth visibly deep wrinkles. We tested it ourselves and, to be honest, the drastic improvement kind of freaked us out! Part of the Dermatologist Solutions line, the Deep Wrinkle Filler uses fragmented hyaluronic acid to penetrate deep into the skin, minimizing wrinkles and lines, while sodium hyaluronate filling spheres bind to large quantities of water, helping the skin retain moisture and filling in wrinkles for firmer looking skin.
Everyday prevention is key for those of us fretting about future wrinkles. We recommend using Kiehl’s Super Fluid UV Defense SPF 50+ ($36). The ultra-light texture doesn’t clog pores, has a matte finish and doesn’t feel like your typical sunscreen. Before bed, layer Kiehl’s Powerful Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate ($77) and Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate ($48). The former is full of vitamin C (to help improve overall texture and tone of the skin), while the combination of essential and botanical oils in the latter helps to replenish lipids and repair damage to the skin from daily stressors.
Another recent addition is Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica Rehydrated Reactivation Cream with Rare Regeneration Flower ($63). Recommended for those 40 and over, the velvety cream absorbs quickly, and is said to increase cell vitality, while triggering the natural restoration process of skin’s collagen production, which slows down with age. The magic ingredient in Rosa Arctica is an extract found in a plant from the violet family, called Haberlea Rhodenpensis. It was noted in Kiehl’s research that this “regeneration flower” has the ability to survive for long periods in unfavorable conditions, thus the extract was harnessed to help reduce the rate of turnover in skin cells and protect the it from harsh elements. Vitamin E, an antioxidant also found in Rosa Arctica, helps ward off free radicals and prevent further signs of aging.
