WE (HEART) ANNA
Anna Dello Russo charms at When Tommy Met Anna
Despite the date on the calendar, we have yet to truly hit spring in terms of weather, but that didn’t stop the Toronto fashion elite from bringing out their best to The Room at The Bay’s special photography exhibit, aptly titled When Tommy Met Anna, this week. A showcase of sartorially super moments photographed by this town’s street style king, Tommy Ton brought dear friend Anna Dello Russo, editor-at-large at Vogue Nippon, to his home and native land for a photo shoot on our fair streets for the Japanese magazine, as well as to celebrate the editrix’s raise to street style icon, which started on his Jak & Jill blog a few years ago.
Seemingly trying to invoke spring was Fashion magazine fashion director Susie Sheffman in Prada, social Stacey Kimel in neon orange Jil Sander, Ainsley Kerr in Lucian Matis, as well as stylish things like jewelry designer Maryam Keyhani (also in neon, this time coral!), the Beckerman sisters, Jenny Bird, Suzanne Boyd, Tara Spencer-Nairn and the boys from the Fashion Collective, while the lady of the hour went through multiple wardrobe changes and helped the pack shake off the winter blues with a dance party at Canada’s oldest retailer, that later made it’s way over the Amber in Yokrville, naturally.
