LUSTING FOR LANVIN!

Lanvin for H&M

Only Alber Elbaz could have us ready to wake up at the crack of dawn to line up in front of H&M to add a little Lanvin to our closets. Hitting stores November 20th in North America and November 23rd in the rest of the world, it will certainly be worth the wait to get our hands on his incredibly affordable men’s and women’s wear collections. For women, the ruffled, one-shouldered dresses and pops of pinks and florals ($199 to $249) echo Lanvin’s spring/summer 2010 collection, while the long sleeved black dress ($99) could have been lifted from the fall/winter 2010 collection. For those who are more interested in beauty, grab a tube of the lipstick ($14.95). Don’t forget guys: stay warm in some sweatpants ($69.95) or keep things dapper in a tuxedo ($299) and accessorize with a pair of metallic shoes ($79.95) or by adding Elbaz’s signature bow tie ($39.95) to any look.

Revlon is giving us a blast from the past by re-releasing its iconic colour collection Fire & Ice, with a Super Lustrous Lipstick in limited edition vintage-inspired gold and silver lip case and nail enamel in the same classic shade. Mario Testino also shot the ad campaign staring Jessica Biel, recreating the original campaign shot by Richard Avedon in 1952 that starred model Dorian Leigh.

Walking into a nail salon where the employees are wearing facemasks while they work on our hands always made us wonder how healthy can this be? Thankfully “green” nail salons are starting to catch on south of the border, and hopefully some will open soon in Canada, as well.
