Every Fashion Week we’re engrossed in the forward thinking looks on and off the runway. We sat down with three of Toronto’s front row females to chat about their sartorial inspirations, and how to make it through a week of working all day, and witnessing the new collections all night.

FRONT ROW PAPER DOLL SERIES

Marissa Bronfman, writer, The Huffington Post and a variety of other publications. Bronfman has reported on style, entertainment, and the environment from New York City, the Hamptons, Los Angeles, Barbados, Toronto, Whistler and most recently, India. marissabronfman.com

From our perch last season, we quickly became enthralled by an extremely stylish girl sitting across from us at the shows. We found out later her name was Marissa Bronfman, a reporter for The Huffington Post. We fell in love with her bold dark lips, sparkly jackets and leather leggings. And of course, sky-high heels. A little bit rock ‘n’ roll, and all style, Bronfman’s look is playful and fashion forward, as are her picks for her FRM Paper Doll. Read More…

FW Evan Biddell Fall 2010

BOS 0655 Evan Biddell Fall 2010EVAN BIDDELL FALL 2010

Amid a sea of leather leggings and fur stoles, Evan Biddell showed a collection as off kilter as the pose his troupe of girls took at the end of the runway. Not to mention the Tim Burton-esque hunchback shapes of dresses and coats that paraded the runway. A wide range of ideas, in a relatively cohesive, and very imaginative collection. Brava! S R0393 Lundstrom CollectionLUNDSTROM FALL 2010

While the name is instantly recognizable in the Canadian fashion landscape, Lundstrom is no longer a product of Linda herself, since being bought out by Eleventh Floor Apparel recently. Starting with a vibrant pink coat with fur trim and long leather gloves, the collection, mixed messages throughout, reminded us of a luxe 70s Bond girl. A small need for editing aside, we were coveting the gray ombre capelet, the long-sleeved velvet dress, paired with a leather tie-belt, leather gloves and a fur stole, and the swinging sparkle number with a fur-trimmed collar.
